Due to the growth of the business sustained, we are looking for a wood machinist / CNC Operator with extensive experience in the industry to join our team. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has the want to succeed. This role for the right candidate would potentially progress into further supervisory positions.

About the role

Your background:

  • Competency in the Cabinetmaking industry - Trade qualified in cabinet making/ joinery/ shop fitting an advantage
  • Sound level of experience with the manufacture of joinery components
  • Full working rights within Australia
  • Current NSW Driver’s license
  • Hold a WorkSafe forklift license an advantage

Your skills:

  • Competent in CNC software and computers.
  • understanding of edging technology and machine operating process
  • Exceptional eye for detail and understanding of joinery construction
  • Team player but also the ability to work autonomously when required
  • Work health and safety focused
  • Contributor to productivity
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Strong relationship builder

Duties:

  • Running our CNC machines, edge bander, panel saw and other various woodworking machines
  • Preparing projects for our assembly team
  • Loading and unloading boards on machines
  • Preparing and picking job materials
  • Maintaining our machines to maintenance schedules including servicing machines on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Preparing job orders for doors and panels for our numerous paint contractors
