We know that our behaviour and practices have long term environmental impacts. Sustainability is about choices. At Craftmark, we don't just pay lip service to the idea of sustainability and being environmentally friendly. We put actions behind our words.
We're embracing the circular economy.
We are constantly looking at how we can fine tune our operations to close the loop. Our goal is to go above and beyond through our policies to reduce, reuse and recycle to limit our impact on the environment.
Reducing our footprint
Through constant optimisation, we are always looking for ways to reduce our waste in our manufacturing.
Our investment in the latest machine technology allows us to reduce wastage during production through precision cutting and optimisation of patterns.
We have installed advanced dust extraction systems to ensure that dust particles from our manufacturing are efficiently captured to avoid pollution in the atmosphere.
Our recycling program
Our robust waste management plan ensures all our waste is broken down into recyclable products. This includes plastics, cardboard, metals, soft wood and particle board.
Craftmark partners with ReDirect Recycling. Our particle board and soft wood offcuts are repurposed into new board to be used again. Our steel and aluminium offcuts are sent to smelters to be turned into new products.
To help our client partners, we offer a recycling program for them to responsibly dispose of their waste.
Sustainable materials
We are committed to sourcing our materials responsibly. Our suppliers are certified and comply with all Australian standards.
All our panel products are produced in Australia from PEFC® and FSC® certified suppliers. All our hardware is sourced through suppliers with environmental values that align with ours.
Our packaging
To protect our products during transit we need to securely wrap them. We use recycled plastic to do this and provide visual reminders to our client partners to remind them to recycle the plastic when they are finished.
